Creatures with Cursed Ones
Cursed ones are creatures shaped by a binding word or broken vow whose power carries a penalty. They haunt roads, ruins, and thresholds, marking time until a condition is met or an oath is mended. Functions include warning, punishment, protection of taboo spaces, and enforcement of hospitality or justice. Symbols include chains and seals, eclipse and shadow, torn veils, broken rings, and boundary stakes that cannot be crossed. Entries note triggers and release clauses in folklore, from nightfall and moon phase to names spoken correctly. Use tiles to filter by cause, setting, or role, then open cards for sources, transliterations, and iconography.
