Special Abilities

Special abilities gathers creatures recognised by signature powers that exceed ordinary strength or craft. These beings command elements, fix others with a gaze, renew life beyond normal limits, outrun storms, or vanish into shadow and silence. Encounters occur at thresholds where skill meets fate, including bridges, fords, cliff paths, rooftops, markets, and shrine courts. Roles range across guardian, avenger, messenger, deceiver, and wayfinder, depending on setting and consent. Symbols recur as mirrors and masks, bells and drums, cords and seals, ash circles, dew belts, and prints that begin or end abruptly. Use tiles to browse by ability or habitat, then open cards for sources, variant names, iconography, and transliteration.
